The All-Volunteer Southern Ocean County Chapter of the Sunshine Foundation is hosting its 27th Annual Fishing Tournament and Family Fun Day at the American Legion #493 in Little Egg Harbor Township this weekend. Boaters will fish for fluke or bluefish in the morning of Saturday, July 6, then join families for BBQ, music, games, and fun at the American Legion.
The captains meeting will take place on Friday, July 5 at 6 p.m. at American Legion Post #493 located at 420 Radio Road in Little Egg Harbor. After the 3 p.m. closing bell for Saturday fishing, prizes will be awarded for largest fluke and bluefish, as well as the heaviest two fish (two fluke or two bluefish). Weigh-in is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. sharp, with tournament boundaries from Barnegat Inlet to Great Egg Inlet.
