As of September 1 and continuing until October 31, the possession limit for scup/porgy on Charter/Party/For-Hire boats in Connecticut, Rhode Island and New York increases from 20 fish per angler to 40 fish per angler. The minimum length remains 11 inches in both states as the only change is in the bag limit. The possession limit will return to 20 fish per angler as of November 1 and continue until the season closes on December 31.
The recreational limit for non for-hire anglers remains the same for the remainder of the season as follows.
Minimum length: 10.5 inches
Daily creel limit: 20 fish per angler
Open Season: May 1 – December 31
