Public hearings are set to take place on Wednesday, September 26 at 6:00 PM in Greenport, Long Island, and Thursday, September 27 at 6:00 PM in Old Saybrook, CT, regarding the future of Plum Island, NY. The exact locations of the hearings will be announced shortly. Stay tuned for an update.
The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) released its Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the sale of Plum Island. In the DEIS, the GSA has recommended the sale of Plum Island which would allow for future development of the island. A copy of the DEIS can be found at http://www.plumislandny.com/EIS/DraftEIS.pdf.
