NJ/DE Bay Region Fishing Forecast – June 6, 2024

The Manhattan Cup out of Jersey City is coming up on Friday; perfect timing with reports of jumbo striped bass in the NY/NJ Bight right now to celebrate this legendary catch and release striper tournament.  Finally, those schools of bunker have popped up along the Jersey Shore to provide bait options as well for those bass on the move, and we received a bluefin tip midweek of a near shore bite, though reports at the edge have been more consistent with a hot tilefish bite with monster fish in the mix.  Pretty solid NOAA Marine weather forecast at the Jersey Shore this weekend, good time to load up on the black sea bass in Open Boat.  We had the first double-digit doormat fluke of the season in last week’s video fishing forecast, well we’ve got a second to report this week taken in the weekend Raging Raymond tournament out of Little Egg Harbor Township; weakies, bluefish and black drum on the menu as well.  Get a Dream Boat Fishing Challenge update for June 6th, a freshwater report with our Pocono Outdoors Guy, and kayak tournament options including The Fisherman’s Coastal Kayak Clash.  We end the weekly video with sad news to report in the Jersey Shore fishing tackle community.
